Overview

Silol Kopi & Eatery stands out as a vibrant café located in the heart of Yogyakarta on Jl. Suroto, Kotabaru. Its expansive space, boasting more than 600 seats spread across multiple floors, offers a unique blend of comfort and eclectic charm that appeals especially to the younger crowd and groups of friends seeking both a lively hangout and a cozy retreat.

The café’s design captures attention with classic automotive memorabilia, including vintage scooters and Harley Davidsons, adding character and a touch of nostalgia. This décor complements the dynamic atmosphere enriched by regular live music sessions, which transform the space into a bustling venue by evening. The ambiance shifts seamlessly throughout the day—from relaxed and ideal for working or casual coffee dates during quieter hours, to energetic and social as night falls.

Silol’s menu reflects its dual focus on coffee culture and hearty local flavors. Highlights include expertly crafted beverages such as the smooth Caffe Latte, distinctive Vietnam Drip Coffee, and refreshing Green Tea Latte Hot. For those seeking a flavorful meal, dishes like Nasi Goreng Silol, Rawon Daging Sapi, and comforting Lasagna are notable. Complementing these are enticing drinks like Lime 'Squash Lychee Squash and indulgent choices such as Caramel Coffee Cream and Cookies and Cream Milkshakes, which round out the experience.

Visitors appreciate the café’s value and quality, although the food receives mixed opinions—some find it decent and well-priced, others suggest portions could be more generous and flavors more memorable. Service pace can vary, occasionally feeling slow even during off-peak times, yet staff are generally friendly and attentive. The WiFi connectivity and noise level during live music nights might challenge those looking for a quiet workspace, but these are minor trade-offs for a spirited social setting.

Overall, Silol Kopi & Eatery excels as a multi-functional space that combines casual dining, quality coffee, and live entertainment under one roof. Its vast seating arrangements cater well to diverse groups—from solo visitors seeking a tranquil corner to lively parties and families ready for an enjoyable evening out. For locals and tourists alike, it offers more than just food and drink—it’s a cultural spot where energy, music, and taste meet effortlessly.

This place is huge, and quite obviously very popular with the younger generation. Food: quite good value and reasonable quality. Service: a little slow, despite not being busy at the time we arrived (5pm). (Busy later when we left - 8:30). Location: Fantastic! Multiple floors with large and small rooms - must be more than 600 seats there! That alone, makes this place a really interesting business model. Had a good look around before we sat down... Good architecture, really interesting decor with a classic car, various old scooters and several Harley Davidson's in the shop under the same roof. Lots of old memorabilia adorning the place Whatever direction you look, there are many interesting things to see. The band were just setting up as we left (8:30pm) - so we will definitely return one evening soon with two families, for an evening of fun and entertainment. Highly recommended - so very many alternative tables in various different settings - Super Impressed with such an interesting location.

A great place to chill and hang out in the heart of Yogyakarta! The café is huge, nicely decorated, and open 24 hours — perfect for late-night coffee or catching up with friends. The vibe is lively, with good music and friendly staff. They serve various coffee, snacks, and local dishes. The food is decent, but what really makes this place special is the atmosphere — cozy yet energetic, with live music on some nights and plenty of seating for groups. It can get a bit crowded and noisy in the evenings, but that’s part of its charm. If you come earlier in the day, it’s more relaxed and great for working or just enjoying a cup of coffee. Overall, an awesome hangout spot for locals and tourists alike. Would definitely come back!

I go to Silol Jogja a lot, mostly for the live music. The vibe’s always fun and packed, especially when the band starts playing at night. It’s that kind of place where you just sit back, enjoy the songs, and lose track of time. The coffee’s okay for me, nothing too special, but the juice is really good! Super fresh and totally worth it. The food’s also tasty and pretty cheap, which makes it even better if you’re hanging out with friends. Overall, Silol’s one of my fave spots in Jogja to chill, listen to live music, and just enjoy the night without spending too much

The atmosphere at this cafe is great—cozy, stylish, and perfect for relaxing or working. The staff is friendly and attentive, offering excellent service. However, the food is a bit underwhelming. While it’s not bad, it doesn’t stand out, and the portions are smaller than expected for the price. Overall, it’s a nice spot for hanging out, but the food could definitely be better.

I guess they have live music every night, even on weekdays. Definitely not the right place to do your assignment, too loud and the wifi connection is pretty slow. But the place is kinda huge with a lot of table

A good hangout spot for people of all ages, from students to families. Silol blends a modern concept with a classic touch, creating a cozy atmosphere ideal for both relaxing and working. The menu offers a wide selection of food and drinks, including specialty coffee, hearty meals, and snacks. While the flavors are enjoyable, none stand out as particularly unique. The space is expansive, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating. Stylish decor paired with calming background music enhances the overall experience. Prices are reasonable, considering the concept and ambiance. However, it tends to get crowded, especially on weekends, making it less ideal for those seeking a quiet setting.
